Windsurfing: Overcombe Wind Direction: S/SE Wind Stength: F4-5 Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Max Speed: Distance Covered:
With the south coast getting most of the wind i decided on an afternoon
sail at overcombe,& the family could occupy them selfs in the town.Arrived
with 20ish knts bang onshore, rigged 5.7m & a new (to me) Goya FW 86lt, this
combo was fine but as i made ground up wind towards the town end the wind
was much stronger & had to flatten off the 5.7, could ave got away with the
5.0m.
the wind was more cross on up here with some little waves coming
in,waist sometimes chest high, making for some nice jumps.Downwind runs
along the shoreline in the waves were real fun, though this board dosnt
feel as fast as the older Goya but was quicker onto the plane.
a nice sail, nothing manic, no rain, just good fun....
followed by fish & chips from 1 of the better chips in weymouth.fingers
crossed for west coast action on monday?
